Anti-counterfeiting issues

Track & Trace systems implementation allows to increase control over the pharmaceutical distribution chain. Distribution packages logistical events and contained items information are registered in public or audited data bases, and it is possible to verify that expended units serial numbers are legitimate and validate distribution path from manufacturing stage to vend point (“trace”). This way, possibilities for introducing fake units into supply chain are limited
